Highland Beach is located just north of Boca Raton on the East coast of Florida. The small town atmosphere of Highland Beach is a great alternative to busier locations but with the benefit of an ideal location and an abundance of beaches.
In the entire town of Highland Beach, there isn’t a single intersection light.
The town has one luxury hotel and one business, The Holiday Inn Oceanside and O’Grady Realty. These two businesses comprise the only grandfathered in companies to operate in Highland Beach. No further businessess will open there due to laws governing the town.
Highland Beach is a small beach town. Due to local laws, businesses are not allowed to operate within town limits. As a result, residents and visitors need to travel a mile away from the water into Boca Raton to enjoy a meal. Once they do so, there are several quality restaurant options in the area.
Josephine’s Italian Restaurant
Josephine’s is a family-owned upscale option that focuses on offering authentic Italian cuisine. Their signature dishes include dover sole, osso bucco and prime veal. The wine list is heavy on Italian and Californian options. If you need help selecting the perfect pairing, the staff is happy to help. They are open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. They do not serve lunch and are closed on Mondays. Reservations are accepted for parties of four or more and take out is also available. The Pavilion Grille serves contemporary American cuisine in a well-appointed space that makes them popular for parties celebrating special occasions. On the menu, you’ll find a variety of entrees including pan roasted rib eye, Long Island roasted duck and red curry shrimp. An extensive wine list, including several champagnes, is available. The Melting Pot
If you want to try something different, The Melting Pot focuses on serving a variety of fondues to their guests. Cheese fondue offerings include traditional swiss, Wisconsin trio and fiesta cheese. Entrees are cooked in different styles such as Coq au Vin (focuses on fresh herbs) and Court Bouillon (seasoned in vegetable broth). Chocolate fondue is available for dessert. A variety of wines are available to complement your fondue feast. They are open for dinner seven days a week and reservations are encouraged, especially for large groups.
