Indian Shores is home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, a non-profit agency dedicated to the care and release of injured birds native to the Gulf Coast. A colorful bar and a high-end restaurant epitomize the beach town.
Indian Rocks Beach is located on a barrier island on the West Coast of Florida, only a 30 minute drive from Tampa International Airport.

Indian Rocks Beach attracts many tourist due to it’s wide sandy beaches and convenient proximity to many Florida Attractions including Busch Gardens, Walt Disney World, Universal Studio, and Sea World, as well as the cities of Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa.

Indian Rocks Beach provides an abundance of vacation rental options, several outstanding restaurants, and a variety of gift and convenience stores.

Gulf Boulevard runs North & South through Indian Rocks Beach. To the North is Belleair Beach and Belleair Shores with Sand Key and Clearwater Beach beyond. To the South is Indian Shores & the Redingtons. Across the Intracoastal via the Walsingham Bridge is the City of Largo.

Indian Rocks Beach is located on a barrier island bordering the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

Developed in the 1920’s as a weekend getaway destination for inland residents, Indian Rocks Beach is now a popular home to people of all ages. Although it’s small in size, just under 1 sq. mile of land with about 4,000 residents, Indian Rocks Beach is a thriving beach community. The residents include young families, empty nesters, northern snowbirds and active retirees.

With its close proximity to Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa, commuting for work or pleasure is easy.

Visitors and residents take advantage of the many beach accesses, beautiful nature preserve, city parks, boat slips, and recreational water activities.

On the West side of Gulf Blvd are the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and a conglomeration of beach cottages, homes, high rise condominiums, and a few businesses.

The Eastern side of Indian Rocks Beach features canals or frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway. Waterfront condo’s, townhouses, and single family homes East of Gulf Blvd. feature many with boat docking facilities. Indian Rocks Beach housing also includes many inland homes, condos and apartment complexes.

Beach access, with limited free parking, are available throughout the city and a Pinellas County Park on the beach provides public restrooms. Additional public beach access and parking areas along the entire Tampa Gulf Beaches is available online.
Indian River Shores is identified with its pristine beaches and controlled growth. It’s one of five incorporated municipalities in Indian River County, located on the East Coast of Central Florida. The Town’s 7 square miles lie along State Road A-1-A between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the City of Vero Beach.
