Fort Wilderness is nestled on 750 wooded acres of lush pine and cypress trees and surrounded by quiet trails and gentle wildlife, like deer and rabbits, you’ll feel as though you’re far away from the bustle of modern civilization. This all is right in the middle of the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort!
You’ll feel completely carefree and cared for, thanks to thoughtful Disney amenities. You can choose from four different types of campsites, including Premium Campsites, that can accommodate everything from tents to 45-foot and longer vehicles, with a maximum 10 Guests per site. Amenities vary, but each campsite is equipped with:
•Water, cable television hook-ups and electrical hook-ups
•Premium picnic table and charcoal grill
•Sewer hook-up (at most campsites)
•High-speed Internet access is available at an additional fee
The sites have wide campsite entrances, large paving in many sites, along with convenient pull-through check-in. You can set up easily, even if you’re maneuvering a larger rig.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers an array of amusements and activities that you can only find at Walt Disney World. This includes themed dining, like the popular like the popular Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, the nightly Chip ‘n’ Dale “Sing-a-Long and marshmallow roast.

Bike and Watercraft Rentals
Rent a bike and cruise around the wilderness. Or, spend time on Bay Lake in a pontoon boat, canopy boat or Sea Raycer. You can also sign up for professional waterskiing or wake boarding instruction at Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre. (fees apply)
Intimate horse-drawn carriage rides depart from Boatwrights Dining Hall for a 30-minute trip up and down the scenic Sassagoula River. Each carriage can hold either 4 adults—or 2 adults and 3 small children. The trip costs $45 USD per carriage.
Chip’n Dale’s Campfire Sing-a-long
Gather ’round the campfire at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort with your nutty pals for songs and fun, then watch a classic Disney movie under the stars.
Guests staying in pet-designated campsite loops can let their canine pals roam and romp off leash in Waggin’ Trails Dog Park. Pet walk areas are also located throughout the campground.
Electric Cart Rentals
Explore the more than 700 acres of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort in an electric-powered cart. Daily rentals are available at the Outpost. Advance reservations are highly recommended. To reserve a cart up to one year in advance, call (407) 824-2742. (Fee applies.)
Electric Water Pageant
This magical aquatic parade of multi-colored fish, turtles, whales and Americana like stars and flags drifts past Fort Wilderness beach at 9:45 p.m. nightly.
Go down to the marina and reserve a fun-filled, catch-and-release fishing trip for the entire family. (Fee applies.) You may also fish in the many canals running through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Haunted Carriage Ride

Other Outdoor Activities
Work up a sweat playing volleyball, tetherball or basketball. Take it easy with a game of horseshoes or shuffleboard. You can even try your hand at archery.
Climb, slide and play at outdoor activity areas located at Pioneer Hall, the Meadow Recreation area, Creekside Meadow and the Marina/Beach area.
Come on down to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch and Farm to meet the petite ponies who call it home. The Trots for Tots pony rides (Guests ages 2 and older and under 45 inches) offer an ideal introduction to our four-legged equine friends.
