St. Petersburg is located on Florida’s tropical west coast. It is well known for its beaches, mild climate, and educational and cultural attractions.
St. Petersburg has clear gulf waters, white sandy beaches and plenty of southern hospitality. It attracts visitors who enjoy art, fishing, culture, and history. Saint Pete Beach is located on a barrier island just off of the mainland of Florida. It’s close to Treasure Island and the city of Saint Petersburg.
There’s plenty to do in Saint Pete Beach, para-sailing, dolphin watching, skim boarding, kayaking, shelling, deep sea fishing or just relaxing and playing on the beach. There’s plenty of shopping on the island too, the Pass-a-Grille neighborhood has shops and an outdoor market near the beach. For the fisherman head on over to The Merry Pier and pick up bait and enjoy the afternoon fishing. And if you are not lucky, you can pick up some fresh seafood from the fish market for dinner.

‘The Quarter’ which is the area of old St. Petersburg considered the heart and soul of St. Petersburg. For some culture you can vist the creative and often bizarre art at the Salvador Dali Museum. If you want a great shopping and eating experience away from the beach, stop at the locally renown Mazzaro’s Italian Market where you can order delicious subs and italian treats from the deli and bring them a your picnic to the nearby beaches.
Many enjoy taking trips to Magic Kingdom®, EPCOT®, Sea World®, Busch Gardens® and Universal Studios Florida®. Cultural attractions include the world famous Salvador Dali Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry.

Sunsets at Pier 60 Sunset Festival is a nightly sunset celebration that takes place in Pier 60 park on Clearwater Beach. This family event features artisans, crafters, street performers and live music. Concerts and movies are also featured on weekends. Pier 60 offers access to fishing activities, fine dining, shopping, entertainment and white sandy beaches.

20th Annual Dunedin Art Festival
This annual craft festival will be hosted along Dunedin’s historic Main Street and will showcase some of the country’s finest crafters the nation has to offer. It is here, you will find a plethora of American handmade products perfect to satisfy any taste or budget that range from one-of-a-kind jewelry, ceramics, pottery, paintings, metal works and bath and body products as well as an abundant Green Market filled with even more.

One of a kind seafood and blues festival featuring two days of hot blues and jazz music from nationally known artists, along with tasty seafood from area restaurants. Honda Grand Prix St Petersburg
The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg returns in March, with the famed IndyCar Series auto racing. Drivers will race at speeds in excess of 170 mph along a 14-turn, 1.8-mile temporary circuit that runs through the streets of St. Petersburg and through the Albert Whitted Airport, overlooking the picturesque St. Petersburg waterfront. This is a one-of-a-kind event for the Tampa Bay area and the entire southeast United States.
Festival Of Speed
A gathering of the world’s finest automobiles, motorcycles and watercraft. This three-day festival showcases and celebrates the finest in jets, planes, helicopters, yachts, motorcycles and, of course, cars, with a series of luxurious exhibitions fueled by gourmet foods and premium cocktails. Big East Big Ten Baseball Challenge
The 2012 BIG EAST Baseball Championship will be played in May with the top eight teams in the regular season standings qualifying. The 2013 conference tournament will take place in May. The winner of the BIG EAST Championship receives the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
Clearwater Celebrates America

Super Boat International Powerboat Race
Super Boat International of Key West has been staging races for 30 years and is best known for its annual races in Key West, Sarasota and New York City. The races feature 50-foot boats with F-16 jet canopies and 4,800-horsepower engines. During races, they reach speeds of 100 to 140 mph, depending on weather conditions.Events will take place at Coachman Park and on Clearwater Beach, including Pier 60.

John’s Pass Seafood Festival

This annual Jazz Festival, features music from traditional styles through swing….special events will feature pianos, brass, reeds, washboards, swing dance instruction, and a parasol parade. Around 20 bands from all over the country will perform at the Sheraton and Marriott hotels on Sand Key.
Lighted Holiday Boat Parade
The 37th annual Memorial Holiday Boat Parade is sponsored by the Island Estates Yacht Club. The event honors members of Island Estates Yacht Club who passed away during the year and is one of the area’s largest holiday boat parades. Around 50 lighted and decorated boats will light up the waterways. Cash prizes and gift certificates donated by local businesses for the best decorated boats. The parade will begin in Mandalay Channel between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach at 6 pm, head north through the channel, arriving at Coachman Park around 8 pm, then navigate under the Memorial Causeway Bridge to the Clearwater Yacht Club for judging. Prime viewing spots include the Memorial Causeway and Island Way Grill.

Join the teams, their marching bands and cheerleaders as they enjoy the sun and beaches at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort next to Pier 60. The Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of Clearwater, the Hilton, Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 95.7 the Beat and 93.3FLZ Radio sponsor this fun day which includes live music, skydivers, a tug-of-war and other contests from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
